This is a one of a kind "Design/build" home from Sollenberger Partners. Inspired from the historically significant period in Architecture called "prairie Style." This Style was synonymous with the Midwest in the 1920's. Though our lifestyles have changed dramatically, the "prarie style" lends itself to the needs of today's lifestyle. Our reinterpretation of the Prairie Style home, while not an authentic duplication of yesteryears style, maintains some of its historical traditions while working with the requirements for living spaces today.
The Horizontal appearance, low-pitched roof, and deep overhangs, roof penetrating chimney, casement windows arranged in horizontal ribbons, porches, and walls that extend from the main structure and a strong connection of the interior with the exterior are all components that come together thru Sollenberger Partners design team to give this its "Prairie Style" look.
This Architectural style provides us an environment that elicits peace and serenitysomething we all need in today's hectic world.
This home was the "AIA best Architectural design" winner, as well as: "The Best Kitchen", by NKBA, "The Best Master Bedroom Suite", "Best Interior Design", Best Patio/Deck", and "Best Landscape."
