Charlie E. Pfeiffer, CGR

Charley  graduated from Purdue University in 1974 with a B.S. in Construction Technology and an A.A.S. in Civil Engineering Technology.  He then went to work directly after college with Tousley-Bixler, working on large jobs, such as the old stockyards and Eli Lilly.  He decided that he wanted to work more closely with his clients and started working with Karen and developing a reliable name in residential construction and interior design.

Charley enjoys working with the customer to develop plans that will make their home exactly what they need, whether that is adding room for growing families or updating the loved family home.  You will learn that CK Design and Build  brings their family and hearts to the table and ultimately to your home.

Charley's   professional affiliations and volunteer work assures you that you are getting the best and newest in building trends and requirements.  Charley is a member of BAGI (Builder Association of Greater Indiana) and on the BAGI Education and Technology Committee .  Charley has also completed and maintained his CGR certification (Certified General Remodeler), he also currently serves on the Building Committee for East 91st Street Christian Church.

Charley's business philosophy is simple "start business relationships with honesty and ethics; complete the  project with quality."

Karen Y. Pfeiffer, ASID

Karen grew up around the building industry. Even as a small child she would go with her grandfather and father to check on construction sites.  Karen and Charley, have been in business since 1975, when they started a window treatment business, which progressed into the overall Interior Design Studio that it is today.

Once accepted into ASID (American Society of Interior Design) in 1991, Karen then proceeded to study for her National Certification - NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualification). She passed examination in 1996, giving her Professional status in the society.

Karen's professional affiliations and volunteer work is keeps her up to date with products and trends.  She has served as Indiana Chapter ASID President for the 2001-2002 term as well as many other Committees for Indiana Chapter ASID, Team Leader of Arts & Interiors at East 91st Street Christian Church, Committee Member of SAFE IDC formerly ICID (Indiana Council for Interior Design) for the promotion of the Design Profession.

Karen's design philosophy is to work closely with the client, making the project "their" project not just a statement for her.
